Yes You Can

In a world full of critics and haters, there will always be someone who tells you that you can’t do it. They will put you down, criticize you, discourage you—basically take all of their frustration and negative energy and dump it on your head. This is what unhappy people do, because misery loves company. And guess what? There are a lot of unhappy people in the world.

But here’s the great news: It doesn’t matter what any of these people say or think. It doesn’t matter that they want to take their unhappiness out on you by putting you down and telling you that you can’t succeed. Because they are wrong. You can and will succeed, you just have to put your mind to it and believe.

The human spirit has proven, time after time, to be the most powerful force in nature. It can accomplish amazing things, if only we get out of its way and allow it to. The first step to accomplishing anything is to believe that we can—it doesn’t matter how many critics tell us we can’t, the voice that really matters is the one inside of our heads. If we believe that our dreams are impossibility, then they will be. But if we believe that we can do what we have set out to do, there isn’t much else that can stand in our way.

I truly believe this and anytime I am asked or challenged to do a task or project I have not done before I say Yes first and then figure things out.

So every time someone comes to you with negativity, the first thing to do is counteract their message with one of your own—a positive message that says, “Yes, I can.” No one else knows your full potential; no one else knows your dreams and what you are capable of. Don’t let the naysayers shape your reality. Instead, take control of your destiny, live your dreams, and believe that you can accomplish all that you set out to do. The only thing stopping you is you.
